Welcome to Vail!  Home of the Burton U.S. Open Snowboard Championships, Olympic Alpine Champions Lindsey Vonn and Mikaela Shiffrin, and the Legendary Back Bowls. Vail is universally held as North America’s top ski resort.

Since its auspicious founding in 1962, Vail has grown to become an extraordinary year round world-class destination. The premier resort brand in North America and arguably the world, Vail attracts a diverse guest base who are cosmopolitan, adventurous and active. They come to Vail from the major metropolitan centers of North America and from around the world. Vail’s diverse guests are bound together by a shared purpose: a desire for a resort experience characterized by a sense of adventure, a sense of expansiveness, and a certain edginess underscored by a rich and dynamic experience both on and off the mountain.

Matching the incredible mountain experience, Vail year-round is characterized by a rich culinary scene, summer season events from adventure sports to  music to farmer’s markets , family activities and everything in-between. Epic Discovery launched onto the season last summer, providing thrilling activites like the Game Creek Zipline Tour, Forest Flyer Alpine Coaster, Tubing and Ropes Courses, as well as educational elements on local flora and fauna, the formation of a 14-thousand foot mountain and more.

Vail also offers world-class lodging from the high end luxury hotels to condominiums and vacation rentals.  On the culinary front, the same world-class offerings abound. From five courses to five-minute bites, Vail has a bounty of options and flavors.  Other alternatives include cozy pubs, family-friendly eateries and everything else across the culinary spectrum.

Located in pedestrian friendly outdoor environments set to the backdrop of the beautiful Gore Range and Vail Mountain, take a stroll around Vail’s cobble-stone streets with the whole family. The town of Vail runs the gamut from elegant shopping, to quick café latte’s, fine dining, and everything in-between. Between Lionshead and Vail Village, Vail offers hundreds of shops from boutiques to outdoor gear to art galleries.

Convenient in-town bus routes allow you to explore both base villages within a matter of minutes.
