Burton U·S·Open Daily Round-Up: Thursday March 2

The 35th annual Burton USOpen is in full swing. We saw a heated battle at yesterday’s slopestyle semi-finals, and are following it up today with women’s and men’s halfpipe semi-finals. Here’s your daily round-up for day three of world-class competition and entertainment.

It all starts with the women’s and men’s halfpipe semi-finals starting at 10am this morning. The world’s best are here once again to compete for the highly coveted Burton USOpen Halfpipe title, but first they have to make it into Saturday’s finals.


Seb Toots snuck into finals with a solid second run.  

The journey to Friday’s slopestyle finals is already underway after yesterday’s women’s and men’s semi-finals. Progression was cranked to 11 on the most creative Burton USOpen slopestyle course yet, with the top six women and top ten men all earning entry into the finals. They will take to the course again tomorrow to see who will be crowned champion. Check out the recap for more info and results from the slopestyle semi-finals.

We couldn't call the competition quits for the day without another round of the Burton USOpen Broomball Tournament at the Solaris Ice Rink. Show up early to enjoy the Pacifico Happy Hour while watching the competitors battle it out on the ice!

The week’s FREE live music lineup continues this evening with a special double set from infamous Vermont jam band, Twiddle on the Solaris stage. Between sets, DJ Cre8 will hold it down, spinning everything from break beats to soul hits to keep the crowd dancing and ready for more.

10:00am – Women’s Halfpipe Semi-Finals

11:10am – Men’s Halfpipe Semi-Finals

4:00pm – Pacifico Happy Hour and US Open Broomball Tournament at the Solaris Ice Rink
