Today’s action starts with the women’s and men’s halfpipe semi-finals starting at 10:00am MST in the 22-foot tall pipe at Vail’s Golden Peak. The world’s best riders are here once again to compete for the highly coveted Burton U·S·Open Halfpipe title, but first they have to qualify for Saturday’s finals. If you can’t join us pipe-side, tune in to today’s live broadcast.

It wouldn’t be a Burton U·S·Open without giveaways and entertainment, and this year is no exception. Be sure to stop by and visit our friends in the sponsor village for all sorts of good times and giveaways. We also have Après All Day locations throughout the village that are your headquarters for the full Burton U·S·Open experience. Pop in and give them a visit, you never know what you’ll find. Also going down today is a meet and greet with Olympic Slopestyle Gold Medalist Red Gerard at the Burton Store at Arrabelle over in Lionshead. He’ll be hanging out and signing autographs from 4:30-6:00pm.

Tonight, the Burton Concert Series rolls on with a double set of infectious grooves from Pigeons Playing Ping Pong at Solaris. Get your après on before the concert by heading to the Shakedown Bar, a short 5 minute walk from Solaris, with Dean Ween & Friends getting weird starting at 4:00pm. After the concert at Solaris, the party continues back at the Shakedown Bar with a must-see performance by the swamp-rockers known as the New Orleans Suspects.

Dangermuffin lit up Solaris last night. Tonight, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong plays a free double set.
