It’s set to be a showdown of epic proportions in the final day of competition at the 36th annual Burton U·S·Open. Snowboarding’s most legendary event, halfpipe finals, is about to go down and the best riders in the world are ready to drop. Join us as we cap this week off by crowning our newest women’s and men’s halfpipe champions, and send it well after dark with a packed schedule of activities and concerts all day and through the night.

Ayumu Hirano effortlessly heads into the finals in the top spot.

It all starts today at 11:00am MST with the women’s and men’s halfpipe finals. Maddie Mastro and Ayumu Hirano are focused on carrying their momentum in the semi-finals all the way to the podium, but there are plenty of elite riders standing in their way. As the grand finale of the most intense competition season to date, the level of riding will be the best the world has ever witnessed and all bets are off as to who will take the titles. Watch it in person from the side of Vail’s perfectly sculpted 22-foot tall pipe, or tune in to the live broadcast on BurtonUSOpen.com or Redbull TV.

Look for Maddie Mastro to do big things in the finals.

In between the women’s and men’s competition, we invite you to take some laps with the Burton Team. Meet us for this group ride at 12:30pm in the Burton Pop-Up Shop at Golden Peak. Our ride will include checking out the Burton U·S·Open Mini Park presented by Clif Bar and we’ll finish at the halfpipe to watch the men’s finals. Open to any riders of intermediate ability level and above.

At 6:00pm, head to the Solaris Concert Stage to see the 2018 halfpipe champions crowned. Then stick around for the grand finale of the Burton Concert Series with a free performance by reggae legend Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley and an opening performance by DJs Nickel B and Tosheba of Itation Sound. Après before the concert at the Shakedown Bar, a short 5 minute walk from Solaris, with live music by Scott Rednor and Rob Eaton Jr starting at 4pm. After the concert at Solaris, the party continues back at the Shakedown Bar where the incredible mashup of Brothers Keeper with special guest Dean Ween will be putting on a uniquely rowdy and memorable set.

It wouldn't be a Burton U·S·Open without an after party. Make sure you join us at the Dobson Ice Arena starting at 9:30pm to send it late into the night with DJ Cre8 opening up for worldwide legend Deejay Theory and the award-winning DJ Hedspin. Pick up your free ticket from the Burton Pop-Up Shop at Golden Peak, or one of the Burton Flagship Stores in Vail Village or Lionshead.
